Geoff Arnott

Geoff Arnott graduated from the University of York with an MSc in Archaeological Information Systems after obtaining a BSc in Archaeology, also from York. Geoff's professional interests include the 3D modelling and animation of historic and modern built environments, human interaction, motion capture, and the use of physics engines in a 3D environment. His current research with Dr Kate Giles uses 3D modelling techniques to re-create lost medieval wall paintings in ecclesiastical buildings. His initial research has raised important questions into the sources and inspiration for such art. Geoff also works as a web officer for the Parks and Gardens Data Service an HLF funded partnership between the Association of Gardens Trusts and the University of York.
