Overview
Heritage Technology is currently working on a pilot project in partnership with the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) to explore methods of digital presentation and delivery.
The pilot project will focus upon the CCT's flagship church of Holy Trinity, Goodramgate, York, and will utilise 3D modelling, interactive panoramas and other digital techniques to present information to visitors in a clear and engaging fashion. The project aims to present alternatives to standard information board displays, which take up space, are immobile and are limited in terms of their content.
The project aims to create a digital resource that can be presented both on-site via display screen/touchscreen or via the internet. If successful, many other CCT churches can adopt a similar approach as part of a coherent, central strategy.
