Our websites are W3C standards-aware - meaning they are accessible by all as per the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) disability and accessibilty guidelines. For organisations within the heritage sector dealing with the public this is a vital (and possibly future legal) requirement.

We make use of a number of web technologies to meet your web requirements, including Flash animations and online database facilities. Basic search engine optimisation is also included in our service as standard, making sure your site is as visible and accessible as possible.

On completion and approval of your website we can provide a domain name and hosting set-up service - getting you the best deal from the safest and most reliable hosting companies to suit your needs. Our service covers:

  • upload, testing and launching of your website
  • email account set up

Once launched, Heritage Technology will provide you with all you need to maintain your own website. However, we also offer a low-cost updating service ourselves. Minor text-related updates are usually provided free-of-charge, while routine updates or alterations are subject to a small fee.
